Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Don Hoffman, the ACL Guardians got a road win against the ACL Athletics, 11-5, in Game 2 of the Round 2. Hoffman went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Guardians, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

In the top of the sixth, ACL third baseman Orlando Ávila had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Ávila stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-2, ACL. For the game, he was 1-6. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We lost," ACL manager Shawn Denton said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
