Lucero goes 3-for-4 in Barons Win
|
The Birmingham Barons downed the Jacksonville Suns, 9-7. The hitting star was first baseman Tony Lucero. Lucero went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Barons. With the loss, Jacksonville drops to 9-2.
Dan Lindsey helped out the Birmingham cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Lucero, "but we got it done."
