The Biloxi Shuckers picked up a win at Smokies Park, taking down the Tennessee Smokies, 9-3. Starting pitcher Ron McKinney was a big reason why. The Shuckers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 3rd win in 13 games.

Biloxi catcher Kurt Lambert contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a circle change to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Shuckers ahead, 8-0.

"It's a long season," said Lambert. "We'll keep working to improve."
