Jackson Defeated by Birmingham, 2-0
|
The Birmingham Barons picked up a win at Regions Park, knocking off the Jackson Generals, 2-0. Starting pitcher Doug Beck was a big reason why. Héctor Ochoa earned the save for Birmingham, his 1st of the year. The Generals are now 6-10.
Birmingham took a 2-0 lead on Brad Dobson's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Dobson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Jackson pitcher Jimmy Smith visibly frustrated.
Birmingham manager Casey Kopitzke called it "a good, solid win."
