Biloxi Shuckers starter Berto Amoyo turned in a top-notch performance against the Mississippi Hammers at MGM Park. The result was a win for the Shuckers, 4-1. Biloxi reliever Cedric Lee picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Spencer Adams was tagged with the loss. The Shuckers, with just their 5th win in 20 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Cliff Randall cracked a home run off Spencer Adams in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Shuckers on top, 4-1. In all, Randall had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Randall.
