Biloxi Hands Chattanooga 6-3 Defeat
|
With third baseman Ernie Brewster leading the charge, the Biloxi Shuckers defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts, 6-3, at AT&T Field. Brewster, who is rated as the 69th best prospect by BNN, was 4-5 with 4 singles. Chattanooga drops to 12-9.
It could have been a different outcome for Biloxi, had it not been for Alvin Burks, the 25-year old catcher . Burks contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Biloxi up, 5-3.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Burks.
