Montgomery Dials Up 3-2 Win

Thanks in large part to catcher Chuck Bond, the Montgomery Biscuits beat the Mississippi Firebirds, 3-2. Bond was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Montgomery reliever Sergio Díaz was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was António Martínez. Mississippi now has a record of 17-8.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Ian Gustafson, who leads the SL in stolen bases with 9, hit a triple. The Biscuits went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gustafson.
