Jacksonville defeated Montgomery, 17-4, in large part due to 25-year old center fielder Ron Park. Park drove in 4 runs. The center fielder had 1 double and 1 home run for the Suns. Ben Pierce got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Bobby Harris collected save number 1.

With Jacksonville leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Park hit a curveball from Jesús Fernández for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Suns ahead, 5-2.

"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Park.

The second-place Suns have won 5 consecutive games.
