Suns Get 8-2 Win Versus Montgomery
|
The Jacksonville Suns beat the Montgomery Biscuits, 8-2, at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Jacksonville center fielder Juan Souza led the way. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Jacksonville pitcher Gunnar Walsh got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ed Alexander got the loss. With the win, Jacksonville pushed its record to 22-9.
Ron Reeves was 1-4 with a walk for Jacksonville. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Dan Collins. It was his 5th walk of the season.
"Things went our way," said Souza.
