The 2026 season is getting uglier for Montgomery.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old left fielder Ed Green, the Jackson Generals stopped the Montgomery Biscuits, 9-2. The win puts Jackson at 22-14 this season.

Jackson used the timely hitting of Gerald Phillipson to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Generals on top, 7-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Phillipson.
