Late Rally by Barons Locks Up 6-3 Win

The home crowd had a good time watching the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Birmingham Barons get after it.
The Birmingham Barons dealt the Pensacola Blue Wahoos a 6-3 loss at Regions Park. Kevin Perry was the star on offense. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jeff Jones finished to wrap up his 10th save.
Had Rob Evans not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Evans hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Barons.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Evans said.
With the victory, the Barons upped their record to 23-21.
