The Jackson Generals and Tennessee Smokies completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Jackson Generals knocked off the Tennessee Smokies, 9-1, at The Ballpark at Jackson. Ken Erickson was a big reason Jackson won. The shortstop was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Tennessee's current losing streak has reached 9 games.

With Jackson leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Erickson hit a circle change from Daryl Young for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Generals ahead, 4-0.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Jackson manager Mark L. Johnson.
