Steve McVeagh was instrumental in his team's 15-8 triumph over the Mobile BayBears. The second baseman was 2-5 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Montgomery Biscuits. Damian Clark closed the game out for Montgomery, earning his 1st save. The last-place Biscuits own a record of 15-31.

With Montgomery leading 12-8 in the bottom of the eighth, McVeagh came up to bat against Mobile pitcher Dave Oglethorpe. McVeagh hit a fastball to left-center for a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season put the Biscuits on top, 15-8.

McVeagh told a Montgomery News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
