The Montgomery Biscuits spoiled a good performance by Mobile designated hitter Charles Pigafetta, bumping off Mobile, 9-7, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Pigafetta went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Montgomery is now 16-31, Mobile 22-25.

The BayBears had been locked in a 7-7 tie with the Biscuits going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old shortstop Torazo Ramírez came to the plate. Ramírez hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from Mobile hurler Milo Svela. It was Ramírez's 12th double of the year.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Ramírez said.
