A 5-RBI performance from center fielder Erik Pope, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in triples with 4, led the Biloxi Shuckers to a win over the Tennessee Smokies, 16-4. Tommy Booth stitched up the save, his 1st. With this game in the books, Biloxi is 17-31, Tennessee 22-26.

Biloxi catcher Bo Wallace helped the Shuckers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Wallace hit a run-scoring single off Tennessee pitcher Ken Wilkinson.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Biloxi manager Michael Barrett.
