Generals Deal Pensacola 5-2 Defeat

Jackson and Pensacola duked it out and the Generals came out victorious.
The Jackson Generals earned a win at Five County Stadium, stopping the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 5-2. Starting pitcher Augusto Díaz played a big role in his team's success. Díaz, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 4 walks.
Ed Green helped out the Jackson cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Augusto's a gamer," said Jackson manager Mark L. Johnson. "Glad he's on our side."
The win gives Jackson a season record of 32-16.
