Tennessee pitcher José Maréz did his part in helping his team defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts, 3-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Jeremy Olsen closed out the game, earning his 4th save. The win has Tennessee at 17-31.

Maréz, a native of San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Chattanooga hitters off-balance, while giving the Smokies 7.2 quality innings. Maréz threw 98 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Tennessee manager Kevin Riggs.
