Chattanooga Gets 4-3 Win
Jackson center fielder Billy Davies had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Davies was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, even as Chattanooga beat the Generals, 4-3. The winner was Chattanooga reliever Jud Holland, now 1-0. The loser was Steve Medina. Duane Hutchins recorded the save, his 5th.

Luis Espinoza, who is tied for 10th in the SL in stolen bases with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Espinoza contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Chattanooga up, 4-2.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Espinoza.

The first-place Lookouts have a one-game lead in their division.
