Spirited fans greeted the Biloxi Shuckers for their clash with the Montgomery Biscuits.

The Biloxi Shuckers got a superb performance from pitcher Berto Amoyo, but the Montgomery Biscuits still won the game, 5-2. Amoyo threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Josh Cox was credited with the save for Montgomery, his 8th of the season.

Montgomery used a well-timed hit by Oriol Rodríguez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rodríguez.

By defeating Biloxi, the last-place Biscuits improved to 20-35.
