Travis Nelligan helped his team muscle past the Biloxi Shuckers, 8-5. In the game, the Jackson shortstop was 3 for 6 with 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Robbie Jones recorded the save for Jackson, his 2nd of the season. The win for the Generals raised their record to 31-26.

Jackson used the timely hitting of Kevin Coleman to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Generals on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," Nelligan said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
