Pensacola pitcher Blake Bivens had a large part in his team subduing the Montgomery Biscuits, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Blake Bivens picked up the win in relief for Pensacola, while Rubén González took the loss. With the win over Montgomery, the Blue Wahoos improved to 29-36.
Nate Bender had a direct impact on the outcome. Bender contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Pensacola up, 3-2.
Bivens attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
