Generals 3-2 Winners Over Chattanooga
Jackson pitcher Steve Medina had a large part in his team subduing the Chattanooga Lookouts, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The winning pitcher was Medina, now 8-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. The triumph puts Jackson at 44-25 for the season.

Dan Talley, who leads the SL in stolen bases with 12, helped out the Jackson cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.

"Steve's a gamer," said Jackson manager Mark L. Johnson. "Glad he's on our side."
