Torazo Ramírez knocked in 3 runs to help Montgomery beat Mobile, 11-4. Ramírez produced 1 single, 2 doubles, and 1 home run. Ed Alexander picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-6. Mike Wright suffered the loss. The Biscuits improved their record to 30-48 with the win over Mobile.

Rocky Smith was 1 for 4 with a walk for Montgomery. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Milo Svela. It was his 24th walk of the season.
