Biloxi took on Pensacola in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Ron McKinney, in particular, was fantastic. The Biloxi left-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. The winning pitcher was McKinney, now 5-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9. Biloxi, with the win, sits at 28-56.

Eric Hiter had a direct impact on the outcome. Hiter contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Biloxi up, 2-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Biloxi manager Michael Barrett.
