Biloxi pitcher Tommy Booth had a large part in his team beating the Jackson Generals, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Shuckers go to 30-55 with the win.

Had Lonnie Hoover not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Hoover hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Shuckers.

"It was a real good effort by Tommy," said Biloxi manager Michael Barrett. "I loved the way he bore down."
