Suns Topple Shuckers with Late Rally

Soggy conditions did not keep Jacksonville and Biloxi from playing their scheduled game.
Marlon Fletcher, who is tied for 2nd in the SL with a 1.07 WHIP, never let the Shuckers get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Suns to a win, 4-1. Duane Greer notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 4-3.
Jacksonville used a timely hit from Alfredo Rodríguez to get the win. The third baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Suns ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Rodríguez.
The Suns now own a record of 64-37.
