The inspired effort of Jackson left fielder Dan Talley was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Biloxi Shuckers. Talley went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Biloxi reliever Jared Younger got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Jimmy Stanley was tagged with the loss. The Shuckers raised their record to 38-63.

Cliff Randall, who leads the SL in home runs with 11, helped out the Biloxi cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder was 1-1 with a walk.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Randall said.
