One Run Not Enough for Biscuits
Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Jacksonville Suns earned a close win over the Montgomery Biscuits, thanks in part to Ethan Price. The Jacksonville left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the SL with a 2.49 ERA, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Duane Greer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-3. José Peña was tagged with the loss. Luis Fuentes earned the save, his 38th in 40 tries.

Had Xavier Brown not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Brown hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Suns.

"Fun game," said Brown, "even when the outcome was in doubt."

The win boosted Jacksonville to 68-42.
