BayBears Get Gritty, 4-3 Win
The Mobile BayBears faced a tough opponent in Biloxi pitcher Ken Featherstone, but did just enough to pull out the victory at MGM Park by a final score of 4-3. Featherstone went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Milo Svela, who is tied for 9th in the SL in wins with 8, earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 8-4. The loss makes Biloxi 44-73.

Mobile used the timely hitting of Bob Greene to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the BayBears on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Biloxi manager Michael Barrett said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
