The Jacksonville Suns and Jackson Generals left the fans buzzing.

The Jackson Generals beat the Jacksonville Suns, 4-3. Jackson pitcher and Collierville, Tennessee, native Steve Medina led the way. Hugh Herring notched his 18th save in 19 chances.

Joe Towns helped out the Jackson cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Towns.

With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 61-56.
