Shuckers Pull Out Late Win, 7-6
The Biloxi Shuckers stopped the Mobile BayBears, 7-6, behind an impressive performance from Jesús Colón. The 26-year old first baseman made life miserable for Mobile pitching. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Biloxi reliever José Martínez snagged the win, upping his record to 3-4. Milo Svela shouldered the loss. Alan Howard was credited with the save, his 3rd in 4 tries.

Had Manny Ortíz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ortíz hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Shuckers.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Mobile manager .

Biloxi now sits at 45-74, while Mobile falls to 53-66.
