A 3-RBI performance from shortstop José Martínez, who is tied for 3rd in the SL with a .838 OPS, led the Biloxi Shuckers to a win over the Jackson Generals, 5-4. Getting the save was Alan Howard, his 4th. The win puts Biloxi at 46-74.

With Biloxi leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Martínez hit a fastball from Mike Kirby for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Shuckers ahead, 5-1.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Jackson manager Mark L. Johnson.
