The performance of José Barajas proved critical in helping Jackson beat Biloxi, 9-3. The Generals center fielder went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Jackson is now 72-50, 8 games up in the North Division.

In the bottom of the eighth, Barajas put his team in front with his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Greg Reiher, made it 7-3, Jackson.
