Ian Gustafson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Montgomery Biscuits from being beaten, 8-7, to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Five County Stadium. Gustafson went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. António Rumbo picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 14-8. Pensacola goes to 78-52. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.

The Blue Wahoos got a big hit from designated hitter Cristo Muñíz. Facing Montgomery pitcher Danny Washington in the bottom of the seventh, Muñíz pounded a 2-run home run to right-center. His 4th home run of the season put the Blue Wahoos ahead, 8-2.

"This was a nice win for us," said Muñíz. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
