Tennessee took on Biloxi in front of a lively crowd.

Getting a good performance from shortstop Ignacio Moreno, the Tennessee Smokies defeated the Biloxi Shuckers, 13-4. Moreno was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 triples, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Smokies. Jeremy Olsen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 10 save opportunities.

The Smokies got a big hit from catcher Tony Álvarez. Facing Biloxi pitcher José Martínez in the bottom of the sixth, Álvarez pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Smokies ahead, 12-1.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Moreno told the Tennessee Today.

By defeating Biloxi, the 4th-place Smokies improved to 52-81.
