Getting offensive support from Mike Allen, the Tennessee Smokies topped the Montgomery Biscuits, 11-6. Allen went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Smokies. Ken Wilkinson picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-3 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 4 in 6 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Tennessee has now won 3 in a row.

With Tennessee leading 5-2 in the top of the eighth, Allen hit a fastball from Juan Quintero for a bases-clearing double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Smokies ahead, 8-2.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Allen told the Tennessee Today.
