The Tulsa Drillers downed the Corpus Christi Hooks, 4-0, at Whataburger Field. Stellar pitching by Jorge Silva had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Silva, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. The win leaves Tulsa with a record of 1-1.

Tulsa used a well-timed hit by Kevin Kelley to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Drillers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Jorge is still learning," said Drillers manager Victor Martinez. "The sky's the limit for him."
