The Frisco RoughRiders and starting pitcher Ken Long stifled the Springfield offense en route to a comfortable 12-1 win at Hammons Field. The loss drops Springfield to 2-1.

In the top of the third, 24-year old right fielder Andy Ryan hit a run-scoring double. The 3rd double of the season for the Frisco first baseman put the RoughRiders on top, 1-0.

Springfield manager Elvis Morel said: "We got ambushed. We just sashayed into the canyon and they were firing from both sides."
