Parkinson drives in 6 runs in Missions Win
|
The San Antonio Missions grabbed a win, 9-5, over the Arkansas Travelers at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. San Antonio right fielder Jeremiah Parkinson was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Rodrigo Sweeney was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Juan Méndez. Arkansas, with the loss, is still a hardy 5-2.
With San Antonio trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Parkinson hit a sinker from Juan Méndez for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Missions ahead, 3-2.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Parkinson.
