The Corpus Christi Hooks beat the Tulsa Drillers, 6-3, at ONEOK Field. The Hooks got a fine performance from shortstop Augusto Espinoza, who went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tulsa, with the loss, is still a hardy 6-2.

Corpus Christi won the game in part because of Pete Becker. The center fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hooks ahead, 4-1. For the game, Becker had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Espinoza.
