Tulsa Drillers starter Tynan Ford pitched well against the Midland RockHounds at ONEOK Field, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Ford, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Alfredo Moreno got credit for the save for Tulsa. It was his 4th of the year.

The Drillers got a big at-bat from second baseman Kevin Kelley. For the game, Kelley went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Tulsa a 2-0 lead.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Tulsa manager Victor Martinez.
