The Northwest Arkansas Naturals defeated the Corpus Christi Hooks, 8-6. Second Baseman Rodrigo Hernández deserved a large share of the credit. Hernández went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Naturals. The loss has the Hooks at 6-5.

Northwest Arkansas first baseman Myron Grant helped the Naturals go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Grant hit a run-scoring single off Corpus Christi pitcher Otton van Rey.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Grant. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
