Corpus Christi Hooks starter Mal Morrison kept the Northwest Arkansas Naturals hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-0 win. Northwest Arkansas is now 5-7.

Steve Sweet hit a run-scoring double off Manny Mojano in the top of the fourth, which put the Hooks in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Sweet had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
