The Corpus Christi Hooks, despite a fine performance by Midland pitcher Nacho Romero, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Whataburger Field. Romero allowed 1 run over 8 innings. António Solís, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. The RockHounds drop to 5-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Corpus Christi. That's when Mike Wilson, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft, hit a run-scoring double off Jesús Ramos to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"The house was rockin'," said Wilson.
