The home crowd had a good time watching the Frisco RoughRiders and Midland RockHounds get after it.

The Midland RockHounds beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 13-5, at Security Bank Ballpark. Max Owens, who is tied for 5th in the TEX in hits with 14, starred for Midland. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The RoughRiders, now 3-10, continue their poor start.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the first. That's when Owens hit a fastball from José Miranda for a 2-run single, putting Midland up, 2-0.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Midland skipper Basilio Cabrera.
