RoughRiders Prevail, 6-5, Over San Antonio
The Frisco RoughRiders beat the San Antonio Missions, 6-5, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The win was due in part to catcher Luis Villarea, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jake Thomas was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was fireballing right-hander Tommy Boyd. Augusto Bravo closed the game out for Frisco, earning his 3rd save.

Villarea contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Frisco in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Villarea took a fastball from Tommy Boyd and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the RoughRiders to leap in front, 2-1.

"It never gets old," said Villarea. "Winning, that is."

The Missions, now 4-10, continue their slow start.
