A 5-RBI performance from the 24-year old third baseman Pancho Vázquez helped the Corpus Christi Hooks beat the San Antonio Missions, 8-1. San Antonio now is 13-8.

With Corpus Christi leading 2-1 in the top of the eighth, Vázquez hit a slider from Micheal Johnston for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Hooks ahead, 5-1.

San Antonio manager Nick Vincent said his team was "out of sync."
