The Frisco RoughRiders picked up a win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, topping the San Antonio Missions, 5-2. On the mound for Frisco was right-hander Ken Long. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 7.2 innings, Long surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The Missions, now 6-16, continue their slow start.

Frisco took a 4-1 lead on Ulisse Gargallo's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Gargallo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Antonio pitcher Jesus Jones visibly frustrated.
