Cardinals Get 5th Straight Win with Late Rally
The Springfield Cardinals beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 9-8, at Arvest Ballpark. Springfield left fielder Hugh Green had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Chad Cooke picked up the win in relief. Joe Wright took the loss for Northwest Arkansas. With their winning streak at 5, the Cardinals have raced to a strong start this season.

Springfield won the game in part because of Jonathon Grimes. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 9-8. For the game, Grimes had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
