Springfield Absorbs 5-3 Loss to Tulsa
|
The Tulsa Drillers beat the Springfield Cardinals, 5-3, at ONEOK Field. Héctor Rodríguez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The victory makes Tulsa 18-8, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2026.
The Drillers benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the sixth. With Steve Weeks at bat and Tulsa leading 4-3, the Springfield miscue allowed Tulsa to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.
Weeks told a Tulsa Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
