Carter, Drillers Put Clamps on Travelers
|
In a low-scoring game between the Tulsa Drillers and the Arkansas Travelers, pitcher Wally Carter was the difference-maker. The Tulsa right-hander was tough as nails in the 2-1 Drillers win. José Otero finished to wrap up his 12th save. Tulsa raised its record to 20-9 with the win.
Carter kept the Travelers under his thumb. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 9. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-1.
