Security Bank Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Midland RockHounds and Frisco RoughRiders.

Midland got a decent performance from pitcher Nacho Romero, but it wasn't enough to beat the Frisco RoughRiders. Frisco won the Security Bank Ballpark contest, 3-1. Romero threw 9.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Willie Miller, who threw 101 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 6 hits.

Frisco used a timely hit from Hank Hembrow to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the RoughRiders ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Frisco manager Mike Breyman commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

With the win, the RoughRiders sit at 18-11.
