Drillers Suffer 2-0 Home Defeat

Regis Barbiusa, who leads the TEX in innings pitched with 62.2, pitched well, but the Tulsa Drillers still fell short, losing, 2-0, to the Springfield Cardinals at ONEOK Field. Alfredo Rocha was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was Regis Barbiusa. Dan Hoover got credit for the save for Springfield. It was his 9th of the year.
Springfield used the hitting of Jonathon Grimes to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cardinals on top, 2-0. For the game, Grimes had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The old adage is true," said Grimes. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
The first-place Cardinals have a one-game lead in their division.
